Jamie's looking for another job but can't decide what she wants to do; she wants to go on a double date with Paul's boss, Lou, and his girlfriend, but Paul is against it because he's angry with Lou for editing his film and not telling him.

A nervous Paul invites a curious Jamie to accompany him and Selby to a college get-together and an impromptu reunion with an old flame (Lisa Edelstein).

When a planned evening alone turns into an impromptu dinner party, Paul and Jamie become resourceful in trying to find time alone.

Paul and Jamie disagree over which sofa to have in their new home, so Jamie drags him to the department store to choose a new one, but he hyperventilates while there; Paul learns that Mark was Jamie's gynecologist.

Paul and Jamie are enjoying a quiet Sunday at home together, determined to do something quietly together before their friends' plans intrude on their day.

The final episode includes clips from past shows and a glimpse at the future for the Buchmans as told by their child, Mabel.

Jamie and Paul are horrified to discover that a private tape of their lovemaking has accidentally been given back to a video store, instead of the movie they rented, and the couple is determined to get it back before anyone else sees it.
