In only his second year, Jim Tressel took an unheralded Ohio State team and ran the table in the Big Ten to take a perfect record into the Fiesta Bowl where they faced the defending champion Miami Hurricanes.

After starting the season 2-2, the Nittany Lions go on a nine-game winning streak, defeat Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship and play in their first Rose Bowl since 2009.
